NOVELTY - Preparation of sulfurized graphene composite material involves mixing natural graphite powder and sodium nitrate, dripping concentrated sulfuric acid, stirring at constant rate for 5 minutes, adding potassium permanganate, stirring for 8 minutes, heating to 35-40 degrees C, stirring for 2.5-3 hours, obtaining a brown viscous suspension, adding distilled water, reacting at 80-100 degrees C for 1 hour, cooling to 52-60 degrees C, adding hydrogen peroxide and distilled water, reacting, obtaining bright yellow graphite oxide dispersion, centrifuging, washing (w1), adding to petroleum ether, leaving the product still for 30 minutes, filtering, heating, obtaining a graphene oxide solid, adding deionized water to an ultrasonic dispenser, adding graphene oxide solid, dripping aqueous ammonia, hydrothermally reacting at 100-500 degrees C for 8-24 hours, washing (w2), filtering using a PTFE membrane, cold-drying for 2.5-3 hours, adding water, purging hydrogen sulfide at 25-30 degrees C, filtering and vacuum-drying for 1.5 hours. USE - Preparation of sulfurized graphene composite material used in lithium battery for mobile phone. ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical and environmentally-friendly preparation of sulfurized graphene composite material having improved electroconductivity and electrical properties. The lithium battery containing the sulfurized graphene has excellent cycle life and charging and discharging performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The reaction mixture comprises distilled water in an amount 3 times the amount of concentrated sulfuric acid. The concentration of hydrochloric acid is 30%. The mixing of graphite and sodium nitrate is performed in a reactor placed in cold bath. Washing (w1) is performed with hydrochloric acid and ethanol sequentially. The heating of solid graphene oxide is performed in a crucible. Washing (w2) is performed with water and ethanol sequentially.
