ADVANTAGE - The material: has low molar ratio may be employed to save cost and a relatively high molar ratio may be employed to maximize energy density; has positive active materials may be intermingled with an electronically conducting material that provides an electron conduction path, electrically conductive materials, and/or at least one polymeric binder material that improves structural integrity of electrode; and can sufficiently undergo lithium/sodium intercalation and deintercalation, or alloying and dealloying, while functioning as positive terminal of batter. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Material (50) comprises titanium dioxide nanoparticles (52) at least partially embedded in a matrix material (54) comprising titanium moiety is of formula (TixNbyOz) (I).
