NOVELTY - Composite board comprises 40-60 pts. wt. modified polypropylene fiber, 5-10 pts. wt. carbon fiber, 20-40 pts. wt. terylene (Artificial textile fiber made from a polyester) and 10-20 pts. wt. modified hollow microsphere; the raw materials for preparing the modified hollow microsphere include styrene, benzoyl peroxide, water, hydroxyethyl cellulose, maleic anhydride, starch, potassium periodate and acrylic acid. USE - Used as composite board. ADVANTAGE - The composite board has electromagnetic shielding performance, noise reduction performance, low density and good strength. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the composite board comprising (i) mixing the initiator, starch, maleic anhydride and styrene, stirring and pre-polymerizing under an inert gas atmosphere to obtain a pre-polystyrene mixture, mixing the pre-polystyrene mixture with styrene and initiator, stirring and mixing, obtaining pre-polystyrene dispersion, mixing the pre-polystyrene dispersion with aqueous solution of dispersant, performing suspension polymerization, cooling, suction filtering, and washing to obtain pretreated hollow microspheres; (ii) foaming the pretreated hollow microsphere obtained in step (i) under high temperature conditions to obtain hollow microsphere, mixing the hollow microspheres with water, adding potassium periodate, stirring and reacting, filtering to obtain filter cake, mixing the filter cake with sodium hydroxide solution, adding acrylic acid, stirring and mixing, filtering and drying to obtain modified hollow microsphere; (iii) mixing modified graphene oxide with polypropylene, heating and melting to obtain spinning solution, spinning the spinning solution by dry spinning to obtain modified polypropylene fiber; weighing 40-60 pts. wt. modified polypropylene fiber, 5-10 pts. wt. carbon fiber, 20-40 pts. wt. terylene (Artificial textile fiber made from a polyester) and 10-20 pts. wt. modified hollow microspheres obtained in step (ii); mixing the modified polypropylene fiber with carbon fiber, adding polyester and modified hollow microspheres obtained in step (ii), stirring and mixing, obtaining the mixed material, carding the mixed material and forming a net to obtain a mixed fiber felt, and needling and reinforcing the mixed fiber felt to obtain pretreated mixed fiber felt; and (iv) hot-pressing the pre-treated mixed fiber felt.
