NOVELTY - Modified graphene oxide, is claimed. The modified graphene oxide is graphene oxide nanoparticles with surface chemically grafted polymer; the polymer is at least one polyacrylamide compound. USE - The modified graphene oxide is useful for oil-displacing agent used in low permeability oil fields (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The modified graphene oxide: has relatively low increase in particle size, good injectability in the core physical model experiment, basically no plugging phenomenon, and obvious improvement in oil recovery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing the modified graphene oxide comprising reacting a mixture containing graphite oxide and acrylamide compound in the presence of initiator to obtain the modified graphene oxide; and (2) oil-displacing agent comprising modified graphene oxide.
