NOVELTY - Energy generator comprises a hydrophilic fibrous membrane coated with a carbon layer as a whole and a two-dimensional hygroscopic nanoclay asymmetrically coated in a partial region. A region in which the two-dimensional hygroscopic nanoclay is asymmetrically coated in the hydrophilic fibrous membrane. The hydrophilic fibrous membrane delays a water evaporation time by supporting the two-dimensional hygroscopic nanoclay. The two-dimensional hygroscopic nanoclay is layered silicate, montmorillonite, hectorite, magadite, kenyaite, kaolinite, sandpaper saponite, beidelite, nontronite, vermicullite, swellable mica, synthetic mica. A conductive carbon material is provided with graphene and carbon nanotubes. The carbon layer is made of carbon particle selected from super P, denka black, acetylene black, ketjen black or activated carbon. USE - The energy generator is useful for generating electrical energy. ADVANTAGE - The energy production efficiency of energy generator is improved. The performance of energy harvesters using water is improved, and the evaporation of water is delayed by adding hygroscopic nanoclay. The energy generation efficiency is improved as the duration of asymmetric wetting phenomenon in hydrophilic fiber membrane coated with carbon layer increases.
