NOVELTY - Preparing reduced graphene oxide/nanofibrillar cellulose composite film comprises e.g. (i) adding 2-4 pts. wt. graphite powder and 1-2 pts. wt. sodium nitrate into 46-92 pts. wt. concentrated sulfuric acid, adding 100-200 pts. wt. water in 15 minutes, then adding 18-36 pts. wt. dry pulp and stirring for 4-8 minutes, adding 60-120 pts. wt. peroxide solution, and (ii) dispersing obtained filter cake in water, and placing filter cake in aqueous solution containing 1-2 pts. wt. sodium borohydride, adjusting pH to 9-10, and washing reaction mixture to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing reduced graphene oxide/nanofibrillar cellulose composite film (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has simple and safe operation, excellent physical and electrical properties; and nanofibrillar cellulose composite film has narrow size distribution, tensile strength, elastic modulus and electrical conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing reduced graphene oxide/nanofibrillar cellulose composite film comprises (i) adding 2-4 pts. wt. graphite powder and 1-2 pts. wt. sodium nitrate into 46-92 pts. wt. concentrated sulfuric acid, mixing and placing in ice-water bath, adding 6-12 pts. wt. potassium permanganate under stirring, insulating for 20-40 minutes, removing the ice water bath, raising temperature at 32-38 degrees C and stirring, adding 100-200 pts. wt. water in 15 minutes, then adding 18-36 pts. wt. dry pulp and stirring for 4-8 minutes, adding 60-120 pts. wt. peroxide solution, filtering, washing filter cake with hot water, filtering until neutral pH, and (ii) dispersing obtained filter cake in water, and placing filter cake in aqueous solution containing 1-2 pts. wt. sodium borohydride, adjusting pH to 9-10, where volume is 100-200 pts. wt., water temperature is 75-85 degrees C, reaction time is 50-70 minutes, and washing reaction mixture to obtain final product. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for reduced graphene oxide/nanofibrillar cellulose composite film obtained by above method.
