NOVELTY - Preparation of methylated graphene oxide comprises adding 10-20 pts. wt. graphene oxide to round bottom flask containing 90-100 pts. wt. methanol, adding 5-15 pts. wt. concentrated sulfuric acid dropwise in an water bath, heating under reflux at 44-46 degrees C for 74-76 hours, cooling to room temperature, pouring solution into centrifuge bottle, centrifuging at 4500 revolutions/minute for 15-20 minutes, discarding supernatant, washing with 4-6 times methanol, dispersing solid in anhydrous ether, filtering, grinding filter cake into powder with mortar to obtain methylated graphene oxide and placing in fume hood to air dry. USE - The method is used for preparing methylated graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, fast and easy to operate, excellent thermal stability, good fluid loss reduction performance, good salt resistance and high temperature resistance.
