NOVELTY - Magnetic graphene oxide-protamine/carboxymethyl cellulose sodium composition comprises nanocarrier formed by layer-by-layer self-assembly technique. The magnetic nanooxide graphene is used as core protamine sulfate and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as encapsulants. The protamine and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose are sequentially adsorbed on surface by noncovalent interaction. USE - The magnetic graphene oxide-protamine/carboxymethyl cellulose sodium composition is useful in preparation of drug release rate-modifying and antitumor drug carrier (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition has good biocompatibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for preparing the magnetic graphene oxide-protamine/carboxymethylcellulose sodium composition, which involves dissolving graphene oxide in mixed solvent of ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol to obtain suspension, performing sonication of the mixture to obtain aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide, adding ferric chloride hexahydrate, sodium acrylate, and sodium acrylate to the mixture, stirring the mixture, placing the mixture in reactor for incubation, removing the sample, washing the sample to obtain precipitate, dissolving the sample in deionized water to obtain magnetic graphene oxide dispersion, dissolving protamine sulfate in pure water, stirring the mixture to obtain protamine sulfate solution, adding magnetic aqueous graphene oxide dispersion, filtering the mixture to obtain magnetic graphene oxide-protamine aqueous dispersion, dissolving sodium carboxymethyl cellulose in pure water, stirring the mixture, adding the magnetic graphene oxide-protamine aqueous dispersion to the mixture, stirring the mixture, filtering the mixture and washing the filtrate.
