ADVANTAGE - The adsorbent has good adsorption and sedimentation efficiency, simple preparation, mild reaction condition and short processing time, effectively removes heavy metal ions in wastewater and dye pigment, and guarantees safe discharge of wastewater, and is suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of modified attapulgite absorbent comprising crushing natural attapulgite clay to 100-200 mesh, adding water, stirring to form suspension slurry, ultrasonically dispersing, centrifuging at speed of 3000 revolutions/minute for 5-10 minutes, standing, vacuum-filtering, placing in beaker, adding methanol, ultrasonically processing for 10-20 minutes, standing, vacuum-filtering, drying, adding to flask, adding 2 mol/L dilute hydrochloric acid, ultrasonically processing for 10-20 minutes, vacuum-filtering, washing with distilled water, vacuum-drying, grinding to 100-200 mesh to obtain modified attapulgite clay, weighing 10-20 pts. wt. graphene oxide, adding 10-20 times by weight water, ultrasonically processing for 20-30 minutes, adding acrylamide monomer ammonium persulfate, stirring and reacting at 80-90 degrees C for 3-5 hours, purifying to obtain polyacrylamide modified graphene oxide, adding distilled water and vitamin C, performing reduction reaction for 2-3 hours, vacuum-filtering, washing to obtain polyacrylamide modified graphene, adding modified attapulgite clay and polyacrylamide modified graphene into taper bottle, adding water, uniformly stirring, ultrasonically processing for 30-50 minutes, vacuum-filtering, vacuum-drying and grinding to particle diameter of 100-200 mesh.
