NOVELTY - Solventless graphene oxide-supported silica nano-fluid, is claimed. The preparation of solventless graphene oxide-supported silica nano-fluid comprises (i) dissolving the silica nanoparticles in a mixed solution of deionized water and alcohol, dispersing, adding a surfactant into the silica nanoparticle suspension, reacting, and purifying the product and drying to obtain surfactant-modified silica nanoparticles; (ii) dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water, adding surface-modified silica nanoparticles, reacting, washing and drying to obtain graphene oxide-supported silica nanocomposite; (iii) dissolving nanocomposite in deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, adjusting the pH, and adding a silane coupling agent, reacting, purifying, drying and strengthening the acid to replace the cation in the product into hydrogen ions, washing and drying; and (iv) ultrasonically dispersing the nanocomposite, adding the flexible long-chain molecules, and reacting, purifying and drying. USE - The solventless graphene oxide supported silica nanofluid is used as a lubricant or base oil additive, where the base oil is polyethylene glycol, polyalphaolefin, liquid paraffin or silicone oil (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanofluid improves the lubricating performance of the system, enhances the strength of the adsorption film and the tribochemical reaction film, and improves the boundary lubrication ability of the friction pair. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Solventless graphene oxide-supported silica nano-fluid, is claimed. The preparation of solventless graphene oxide-supported silica nano-fluid comprises (i) dissolving the silica nanoparticles in a mixed solution of deionized water and alcohol, ultrasonically dispersing, adding a surfactant into the silica nanoparticle suspension, reacting at 20-200 degrees C for 1-48 hours, and purifying the product and drying to obtain surfactant-modified silica nanoparticles; (ii) dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water for ultrasonic stripping, adding surface-modified silica nanoparticles, reacting at 20-200 degrees C for 1-48 hours, washing and drying to obtain graphene oxide-supported silica nanocomposite; (iii) dissolving the graphene oxide-supported silica nanocomposite in deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, adjusting the pH to alkaline with an alkali solution, and adding a silane coupling agent to the suspension at 20-150 degrees C, reacting for 1-48 hours, then purifying, drying and strengthening the acid to replacing the cation in the product into hydrogen ions, washing and drying; and (iv) ultrasonically dispersing the silane coupling agent-grafted graphene oxide-supported silica nanocomposite, adding the flexible long-chain molecules under stirring, and reacting at 20-150 degrees C for 1-48 hours, purifying and drying.
