NOVELTY - Preparing sulfur functionalized porous graphene macroscopic material comprises (i) mixing the graphene oxide aqueous dispersion with the hydrazine reagent, ultrasonically stirring to obtain homogeneous mixture A to obtain homogeneous mixture A, (ii) placing mixture A in the reaction vessel, carrying out hydrothermal reaction to obtain reaction product B, and(iii) freeze-drying the reaction product B to obtain sulfur functionalized porous graphene macroscopic material. USE - The material is useful as cathode material for sodium-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The method: produces product has high capacity of the battery and excellent rate performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for sodium ion battery, comprising sulfur functionalized porous graphene macroscopic material as cathode material to sodium ion battery.
