NOVELTY - A self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composite electrode preparing method involves ultrasonically treating titanium foil in liquid, removing the titanium foil and rinsing with deionized water. The titanium foil is dipped in hydrogen peroxide solution. The solution is heated and insulated. The titanium foil is removed and dried after the end of the reaction. The obtained titanium foil is put in a furnace tube. Graphene is deposited on the surface of a titanium nitride layer by using dip or coating or drop coating, placed in oven and dried. USE - Method for preparing self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composite electrode. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composite electrode with high porosity, better catalytic activity and conductivity in a cost-effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composite electrode preparing method involves ultrasonically treating titanium foil in liquid, removing the titanium foil and rinsing with deionized water. The titanium foil is dipped in hydrogen peroxide solution. The solution is heated at room temperature of 60-95 degrees C under atmospheric pressure and insulated for 10-60 minutes. The titanium foil is removed and dried after the end of the reaction. The obtained titanium foil is put in a furnace tube in atmosphere, which leads to ammonia nitrogen treatment of titanium foil and titanium foil surface to build a titanium nitride. Graphene is deposited on the surface of a titanium nitride layer by using a dip-coating or drop coating, placed in oven and dried at 60-100 degrees C to obtain self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composites electrodes. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a self-supporting titanium nitride/graphene composite electrode prepared by the above method.
