NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-like magnesium silicide nanosheets, comprises: (1) dispersing ethyl silicate in a mixture of ethanol, water and aqueous ammonia to obtain a solution A, dispersing graphene oxide in water to obtain a solution B, mixing the solutions A and B under stirring to obtain solution C, centrifuging the solution C and washing with alcohol to obtain silica precursor-graphene oxide composite and calcining the composite in air to obtain silica nanosheets; and (2) mixing magnesium powder and silica nanosheets and calcining to obtain phase of graphene-like magnesium silicide nanosheets. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene-like magnesium silicide nanosheets. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene-like magnesium silicide nanosheets comprises: dispersing ethyl silicate in a mixture of ethanol, water and aqueous ammonia to obtain a solution A, dispersing graphene oxide in water to obtain a solution B, adding solution B to solution A under stirring to obtain a solution C, stirring the solution C at room temperature, centrifuging and washing with alcohol to obtain silica precursor-graphene oxide composite and calcining the composite in air to obtain silica nanosheets; and mixing magnesium powder and the silica nanosheets evenly by placing in a porcelain crucible, and calcining in a tubular furnace using a mixture of hydrogen/argon as a protective gas, and removing unreacted magnesium by acid pickling to obtain pure phase of graphene-like magnesium silicide nanosheets.
