NOVELTY - Preparation of double-coated high nickel ternary cathode material involves (1) mixing high nickel ternary precursor with lithium source, placing in a high temperature furnace for calcination, obtaining a high nickel ternary cathode material, the ratio of high nickel ternary precursor and lithium source to the total amount of metal ionic species in the high nickel ternary precursor and the total amount of lithium in the lithium source is 1:0.95-1.15, (2) mixing and grinding coating agent with high nickel ternary positive electrode material, placing in a high temperature furnace for calcination, obtaining a composite, (3) mixing composite and graphene nanobelt with ethanol solution, obtaining the mixed solution (A), and mixing graphene nanobelt with ethanol solution to obtain a mixed solution (B), adding mixed solution (B) to mixed solution (A), stirring at 5- 60 degrees C for 1-30 minutes, obtaining a mixed solution (C), (4) centrifuging, drying, and dehydrating. USE - Preparation of double-coated high nickel ternary cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces surface residual alkali amount and pH of double-coated high nickel ternary cathode material, and improves rate performance.
