NOVELTY - Fluid system (100) component comprises body that comprising multidimensional shape defined in orthogonal directions and layers stacked along one of the orthogonal directions, where at least one of the layers comprises polymeric material and graphene nanoplatelets formed from the polymeric material, and the graphene nanoplatelets increase stiffness of the polymeric material. The body comprises degradable material that degrades upon exposure to water. The nanoplatelet forms geometric patterns that are oriented in direction parallel to the layers to increase the stiffness of material responsive to applied stress in the direction. USE - The component is useful in fluid transport, fluid control, fluid operations, which is used to pipe, valve, and pump. ADVANTAGE - The component: increase stiffness of the polymeric material; improves mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, flexural strength, tensile modulus, elongation, and/or flexural modulus.
