▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Carrying out phenol selective electrochemical oxidation involves reacting phenol with an oxidizing agent in a molar ratio of 1:2-1:20 in presence of an oxyacid as an electrolyte under constant current of 18-250 mA at 25-30 degrees C for 5-8 hours using a carbonaceous electrode to afford selectively hydroquinone. USE - Method for carrying out selective electrochemical oxidation of phenol to produce hydroquinone. ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently oxidizes phenol into produce hydroquinone in a simple, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner with 85-90% selectivity towards hydroquinone and yield of 85%.
