NOVELTY - A graphene pitch additive comprises 2.5-15 pts. wt. carboxylated graphene oxide, 1-4 pts. wt. gamma-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyltrimethoxysilane, 4-8 pts. wt. alkyl glycosides, 5-10 pts. wt. polyvinyl alcohol, 10-20 pts. wt. borate, 5-10 pts. wt. polymethyl methacrylate, 5-10 pts. wt. styrene block copolymer, 5-10 pts. wt. polyurethane and 20-40 pts. wt. waste rubber powder. USE - Graphene pitch additive in production of asphalt (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The additive improves physical and chemical indexes of asphalt. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of graphene pitch additive, which involves (1) mixing carboxylated graphene oxide and absolute ethanol, stirring, adding beta -(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyltrimethoxysilane in a water bath, fully reacting, centrifuging and drying to obtain the surface-modified carboxylated graphene oxide, (2) mixing surface-modified carboxylated graphene oxide, alkyl glycosides, polyvinyl alcohol, borate, and polymethyl methacrylate to obtain a premix, and (3) mixing premix with styrene block copolymer and polyurethane, mixing with waste rubber powder, swelling and extruding.
