▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A battery comprises an anode, an electrolyte comprising at least one ion-conducting salt and at least one solvent and a cathode comprising a metal halide incorporated into an electroconductive material comprising an electronegative heteroatom-enriched carbon. The electrolyte is in contact with the anode, the cathode, and an oxidizing gas. USE - Battery e.g. rechargeable metal halide battery e.g. lithium-ion battery used for industrial and medical devices, electric vehicles and grid energy storage systems. ADVANTAGE - The battery has increased metal halide utilization and high specific capacity through the introduction of electronegative heteroatom-enriched conductive additives into the metal halide cathode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the rechargeable metal halide battery.
