▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Method and system to synthesize bilayer graphene at a large scale from exfoliated graphite with the help of microwave or radio frequency irradiation, comprises: e.g. (a) preparing the graphite intercalation compound (GIC) by acid treatment of natural flake graphite (NFG) using dry process; (b) preparing the exfoliated graphite from GIC by taking small quantity of GIC in a glass beaker and directly heating into a domestic microwave oven for expansion process; and (c) dispersing the exfoliated graphite in 100 ml deionized water and ultra-sonicating at 100W for 3 hours. USE - The method and the system is useful to synthesize bilayer graphene at a large scale from exfoliated graphite. ADVANTAGE - The method and the system provides the bilayer graphene: at a large scale with high quality and 100% yield; with a crystallite domain size of 481 nm; with excellent distance between the defects of 60 nm and less detect density of 890x 109 cm-2 with Raman spectra at 50 mg/ml (claimed); in simple green reduction; and in fast, cost-effective and environmental friendly manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method and system to synthesize bilayer graphene at a large scale from exfoliated graphite with the help of microwave or radio frequency irradiation, comprises: (a) preparing the graphite intercalation compound (GIC) by acid treatment of natural flake graphite (NFG) using dry process; (b) preparing the exfoliated graphite from GIC by taking small quantity of GIC in a glass beaker and directly heating into a domestic microwave oven for expansion process; (c) dispersing the exfoliated graphite in 100 ml deionized water and ultra-sonicating at 100W for 3 hours; (d) mixing the exfoliated graphite with different concentration of green reducing agent and stirring for 15 minutes and placing the resultant dispersion directly into oil bath with continuous stirring; and (e) washing the resultants several times with deionized water and drying in ambient condition for overnight at 60 degrees C to obtain bilayer graphene.
