NOVELTY - Producing graphene made by exfoliating graphite comprises (i) preparing a dispersion solution having a surface tension of 37-43 mN/m while containing more than 95 wt.% water where an aqueous solution containing a polymeric dispersant having an acid value of 10-50 mg potassium hydroxide/g, (ii) preparing a graphite slurry by mixing the dispersed aqueous solution and expanded graphite, and (iii) exfoliating the expanded graphite into graphene by rotating the graphite slurry to create a rotating laminar flow at a flow rate of 10.5-20 m/s. USE - The method is useful for producing graphene made by exfoliating graphite. ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally friendly and reduces the overall manufacturing cost.
