NOVELTY - A flexible carbon fiber producing method involves obtaining and immersing pure cotton thread in aqueous solution-containing ethanol for 1-24 hours. Impurities are removed and dried at 60-100 degrees C for 5-24 hours. Carbon nanotubes and/or graphene are dispersed in a solvent to obtain slurry with various concentration. The pure cotton thread is impregnated with the slurry and dried to obtain fiber precursor. The fiber precursor is heat-processed under inert atmosphere, where graphene is supported on fine fiber surface of cotton thread and protected under inert atmosphere. USE - Method for producing flexible carbon fiber that is utilized in future flexible wearable device and flexible lithium-ion battery electrode material. ADVANTAGE - The method enables producing the flexible carbon fiber with strong binding force and high flexibility, conductivity and capacity lithium-storing active material.
