NOVELTY - A positive electrode slurry comprises: a manganese-containing positive active material; and a positive electrode additive comprising a benzimidazole compound (I). USE - Positive electrode slurry for use in a positive electrode plate of a battery module, which is useful in a battery pack of lithium-ion battery of an electrical device (all claimed) such as a battery electric vehicle e.g. car, a hybrid electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, a mobile phone, a tablet computer and a notebook computer, and energy storage power systems such as hydro, thermal, wind, and solar power stations, and other fields such as electric tools, electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, military equipment, and aerospace. ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode slurry is capable of effectively improving a service life, high-temperature cycle performance, and high-temperature storage performance of a lithium-manganese-oxide-based lithium-ion battery.
