NOVELTY - Method for preparing a salt-sensitive photothermal gel involves mixing a photothermal material, an aqueous solution of zwitterionic monomers, and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide, adding potassium persulfate and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine, mixing and left to solidify. USE - The salt-sensitive photothermal gel for use in distilling and removing salt in water such as seawater, non-volatile organic waste water, heavy metal waste water or saline-alkali water under photothermal effect (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The salt-sensitive photo-thermal gel adjusting the water diversion capacity according to the salinity of the water body to be treated, realizes no salt accumulation in the distillation process, has good desalting effect and no harm to human bodies and environment, is simple and reliable to use, and ensures the supply of drinking water and the safety of water quality. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an application of the salt-sensitive photothermal gel for distilling and removing salt in a water body under the photo-thermal effect.
