NOVELTY - A material (10) for removing a contaminant (3) comprises adsorption material for adsorbing contaminant and decomposition material for decomposing contaminant, where adsorption material and decomposition material are complexed with each other, and contaminant decomposition onset temperature of decomposition material is equal to or lower than contaminant desorption onset temperature of adsorption material. USE - A material for removing a contaminant for filter used in a device for removing a contaminant (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - By using the material for removing a contaminant, the filter can effectively prevent secondary contamination and simultaneously has ease of use and economic efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) filter for removing contaminant comprising the material and a heating tool for transferring heat to the decomposition material in the material, and optionally where the heating tool comprises a heating element and a sensor for measuring a temperature; and (2) device for removing a contaminant comprising the filter for removing contaminant, and optionally, sensor for measuring a concentration of the contaminant to measure a concentration of the contaminant adsorbed to the adsorption material in the filter.
