NOVELTY - Preparing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) photocatalytic material with high visible light response comprises by (1) uniformly mixing 1 g graphite powder and 0.5 g sodium nitrate in ice-water bath, dropping concentrated sulfuric acid, and stirring 5 minutes, then adding 3 g potassium permanganate, continuously stirring in ice-water bath for 2 hours, and then stirring in a water bath, adding boiling water and stirring, adding hydrogen peroxide, stirring until no more bubbles, centrifuging, washing, and drying, and (2) dissolving the graphene oxide in dimethylformamide solution for 5 hours to completely peel off the graphene oxide to form a graphene oxide-dimethylformamide solution, adding ferric trichloride hexahydrate-dimethylformamide solution to graphene oxide-dimethylformamide solution, mixing, adding silver nitrate of dimethylformamide solution, dimethylformamide solution with fumaric acid, stirring, and reacting in an oven, cooling, centrifuging the product, washing, and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) photocatalytic material with high visible light response, which is useful in nanocomposite material and photocatalysis field. ADVANTAGE - The method optimizes use of solar energy, and reduces cost and energy consumption of photo-catalytic water purifying. The photocatalytic material can effectively collect visible light, and has rich channel, large specific surface area, and excellent catalytic stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) photocatalytic material with high visible light response comprises (1) uniformly mixing 1 g graphite powder and 0.5 g sodium nitrate in ice-water bath, dropping 40 ml concentrated sulfuric acid, and stirring 5 minutes, then adding 3 g potassium permanganate, continuously stirring in ice-water bath for 2 hours, and then stirring in a water bath at 30 degrees C for 12 hours, adding 100 ml boiling water and continuously stirring for 15 minutes, adding 7 ml 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, stirring until no more bubbles are generated, finally centrifuging, washing, and drying to obtain solid graphene oxide, and (2) dissolving the graphene oxide prepared in step (1) in dimethylformamide solution for 5 hours to completely peel off the graphene oxide to form a graphene oxide-dimethylformamide solution with a concentration of 1 g/l, adding 1 volume of 0.05 mol/l ferric trichloride hexahydrate-dimethylformamide solution to 1 volume 1 g/l graphene oxide-dimethylformamide solution, mixing uniformly, adding 1 volume of concentration of 0.008-0.08 mol/l silver nitrate of dimethylformamide solution, stirring at room temperature for 3 hours, then adding 1 volume of dimethylformamide solution with concentration of 0.05 mol/l fumaric acid, stirring for 5 hours, transferring into hydrothermal reaction kettle, thermally insulating and reacting in an oven at 65 degrees C for 12 hours, after the reaction is finished, cooling to room temperature, centrifuging the product, washing, and drying to obtain the MOFs photo-catalytic material.
