NOVELTY - A graphene-embraced anode particulates for lithium battery is produced by (A) providing carbon or graphite particles decorated with anode active material, where carbon or graphite particles have a diameter or thickness 500 nm-50 mu m and the anode active material, in a form of particles or coating having a diameter or thickness of 0.5 nm-2 mu m, is bonded to surfaces of carbon or graphite particles; and (B) embracing the anode active material-decorated carbon or graphite particles with a shell of multiple graphene sheets to produce graphene-embraced anode particulates. USE - Production of graphene-embraced anode particulates for lithium battery. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, fast, scalable, environmentally benign, and cost-effective.
