NOVELTY - Flexible carbon electrode comprises lithium-intercalated carbon material including natural graphite, artificial graphite, hard carbon, soft carbon and/or mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB) and reducing graphene oxide obtained by high temperature method and chemical method, where carbon particles are main active materials, amount is 75-95% of the total mass of electrode; graphene as binder, conductive agent and auxiliary active material, and amount is 5-25% of the total mass of electrode. USE - The electrode is useful as electrode material in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode has high conductivity; improves material conductivity; and increases the capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing flexible carbon electrode comprising mixing lithium-carbon material and graphene oxide in water in a mass ratio of 1-9.5:1, stirring, ultrasonicating, vacuum filtering and drying to obtain carbon/graphene oxide composite film, then carrying out thermal reduction or chemical reduction (hydrated hydrazine or hydroiodic acid) at high temperature of 400 degrees C to obtain flexible self-supporting carbon/graphene composite film; and (2) use of flexible carbon electrode as as electrode material in lithium ion battery comprising dissolving 1 M lithium hexafluorophosphate in ester and ether.
