NOVELTY - A positive electrode material comprises core and coating layer. The material of the coating layer comprises conductive carbon material. USE - Positive electrode material used for positive electrode sheet for secondary battery (all claimed) e.g. lithium battery. ADVANTAGE - The phosphorus site of the positive electrode material is doped with metal element, which can improve the structural stability of the material in the charging and discharging circulation process. The lithium battery has high energy density and excellent long cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A positive electrode material comprises core and coating layer. The core comprises lithium-manganese-iron-phosphorus-metal oxide of formula: LiMnxFe1-xPaM1-aO4, where x is not less than 0.4 and not more than 0.8, a is not less than 0.4 and not more than 0.9, and M comprises at least one of silicon, boron, nitrogen, magnesium, copper, aluminum and selenium, preferably silicon and boron. The material of the coating layer comprises conductive carbon material. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of positive electrode material.
