NOVELTY - A platinum precursor is adsorbed on a graphene at 110-180 degrees C and dried to remove solvent. The obtained product is reacted with formaldehyde or formic acid for 1.5-2.5 hours. The obtained product is cooled at room temperature, washed with water and anhydrous ethanol to remove chlorine ion, and carried out vacuum drying, to obtain cathode catalyst. USE - Manufacture of cathode catalyst used for proton-exchange membrane fuel cell e.g. direct methanol fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of cathode catalyst by simple and environmentally-friendly process with less energy consumption.
