NOVELTY - Preparing silicon-carbon cathode material comprises (i) fixing the porous carbon-based film material inside the reactor, and introducing inert gas to replace the air inside the reactor, so that an oxygen-free environment is formed inside the reactor, (ii) heating the reactor forming anaerobic environment in step (i), incubating successively, and passing silane gas to carry out chemical vapor deposition reaction to obtain silicon carbon cathode material precursor, and (iii) sequentially subjecting the silicon-carbon cathode material precursor to carbon coating, crushing, secondary coating, and carbonization. USE - The method is useful for preparing silicon-carbon cathode material, which is used for lithium-ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method improves the electrochemical performance of the silicon-carbon cathode material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for silicon-carbon cathode material obtained by the above mentioned method.
