NOVELTY - Phosphorus-containing ionic liquid and carbon nano material containing synergistic system epoxy resin composite material comprises 1-10 pts. wt. phosphorus-containing ion liquid, 100 pts. wt. epoxy resin and 0.1-5 pts. wt. carbon nano material. The phosphorus-containing ionic liquid is 3-(10-oxo-10H-9-oxa-10lambda-5-phospha-phenanthren-10-ylmethyl)-1H-imidazole compound (I). USE - Used as phosphorus-containing ionic liquid and carbon nano material containing synergistic system epoxy resin composite material. ADVANTAGE - The composite material has excellent flame retardant performance and excellent mechanical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Phosphorus-containing ionic liquid and carbon nano material containing synergistic system epoxy resin composite material comprises 1-10 pts. wt. phosphorus-containing ion liquid, 100 pts. wt. epoxy resin and 0.1-5 pts. wt. carbon nano material. The phosphorus-containing ionic liquid is 3-(10-oxo-10H-9-oxa-10lambda-5-phospha-phenanthren-10-ylmethyl)-1H-imidazole compound of formula (I). R =alkyl group with different carbon chain lengths; and R =alkyl group with different benzene rings or different carbon chain lengths. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing phosphorus-containing ionic liquid and carbon nano material containing synergistic system epoxy resin composite material comprising (i) adding (6-oxido-6H-dibenzoc,e1,2oxaphosphinin-6-yl)methanol into the solvent in the reaction container, then adding sulfonyl chloride compound and stirring, then dissolving dried product in 1-methylimidazole, stirring for 48-72 hours at 80-90° C to obtain phosphorus-containing ionic liquid 1-methyl-3-((6-oxodibenzoc,e1,2oxaphosphine-6-yl)methyl)-1H-imidazole-3-4-sulfonate, and (ii) adding phosphorus-containing ionic liquid obtained in step (i) into the epoxy resin at 95-100° C and stirring until it is completely dissolved, then adding carbon nano material and ultrasonication at 80-100° C, and finally adding curing agent, curing at 120-130° C for 2-3 hours and then post-curing at 150-160° C for 2-3 hours to obtain composite material. Preferred Components: In the step (i), the solvent is dichloromethane, acetone, acetonitrile or chloroform, and the sulfonyl chloride compound is methylsulfonyl chloride, ethylsulfonyl chloride, p-toluenesulfonyl chloride, 4-cyanobenzenesulfonyl chloride or 1-octanesulfonyl chloride, and the molar ratio between 2-(6-oxido-6H-dibenzoc,e1,2oxaphosphinin-6-yl)methanol, triethylamine and ethylsulfonyl chloride is 1:1:1.
