Preparation of graphene-coated aluminum oxide composite powder involves treating calcined alumina powder with hydrogen peroxide, adding aminosilane coupling agent, surface modifying, adding deionized water, ultrasonic dispersing, adjusting pH, adding aqueous ammonia dropwise, adjusting pH, adding to graphene oxide dispersion, ultrasonic stirring, centrifuging, and drying. USE - Alumina-based ceramic tool material. ADVANTAGE - The material is stable and has improved comprehensive performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Alumina-based ceramic tool material comprises 4.5-30 wt.% graphene-coated aluminum oxide composite powder, 0.2-1 wt.% magnesium oxide, 0.5-5 wt.% molybdenum, 0.5-5 wt.% nickel, and balance aluminum.
