NOVELTY - A solid polymer conductive composite is prepared from a composition comprising a polyaryletherketone (PAEK) polymer, a conductive filler, and a dispersing and processing additive. USE - Solid polymer conductive composite used for non-metallic aircraft fuel delivery system component such as fuel pipe, hose, coupling, clamp, conduit, reducer, flange, ferrule, bracket and housing (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The solid polymer conductive composite is economical and has improved strength and resilience including tailored electroconductivity for electrostatic discharge and lightning protection required for non-metallic fuel delivery system. The composite polymer has improved strength, increased elasticity, and increased elongation at break compared to the base polymer. The composite polymer can be used in lightweight, non-metallic aircraft fuel delivery systems. The fuel pipe has high impact resistance, fatigue strength, and high elasticity than commercial electrostatic discharge-PEEK.
