NOVELTY - The method for preparation of graphene quantum dot, involves adding aromatic compound to nitric acid, adding water, obtaining microporous cellulose filtration membrane, washing with water to obtain yellow powder, adding alkaline material, ultrasonically processing, pouring microporous cellulose filtration membrane into dialysis bag, dialyzing with 1 L water, collecting the dialysis bag, drying to obtain graphene quantum dots. The alkaline material is selected from sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, ammonia or hydrazine. USE - Method for preparation of graphene quantum dot (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables the preparation of graphene quantum dot having small size, does not produce agglomeration phenomenon, increases product yield and ensures simple process, and is suitable for large-scale production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparation of graphene quantum dot, involves adding 0.02-2 g aromatic compound to 3-320 mL concentration of 56% nitric acid, stirring at 300-600 rpm, heating at 70-100 degrees for 1-20 hours, cooling to room temperature, adding 20-1000 mL water, obtaining microporous cellulose filtration membrane, washing the product with water until neutral, drying at 60 degrees C to obtain yellow powder, adding 6-600 mL concentration of 0.2-1.5 mol/L alkaline material, ultrasonically processing at 100-500 W for 4-12 hours, pouring into 10-1000 mL Teflon-lined stainless steel reactor, sealing, heating at 200 degrees C for 10 hours, until natural cooling to room temperature, pouring microporous cellulose filtration membrane into dialysis bag, dialyzing with 1 L water for two days until the solution is neutral, collecting the dialysis bag, drying at -50 degrees C to obtain graphene quantum dots. The alkaline material is selected from sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution, ammonia or hydrazine.
