▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Chloramines are removed from chloramine-containing fluid solutions or streams by contacting the solutions or streams with an activated carbon having in the graphene structure of the carbon, 0.01-10 wt.% of aromatic nitrogen species. USE - The invention is for removal of chloramines from chloramine-containing fluid solutions or streams, which are aqueous (claimed), or from drinking water. ADVANTAGE - The invention provides a catalytic activated carbon that exhibits high performance for chloramine removal from water, yet possesses relatively low activity for hydrogen peroxide decomposition compared to prior art carbons. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The figure is a graphical representation of chloramine-reduction performance of inventive carbon products and prior art carbon product on a gravimetric basis.
