NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide material comprises (i) mixing flake-graphite powder with 98% concentrated sulfuric acid in an ice water bath, stirring uniformly, adding potassium permanganate into the mixture for 1-6 hours and continuously stirring at room temperature for 1-5 hours, where the material ratio of graphite powder, concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate is 1 g: 23 ml: 5 g; (ii) placing the mixture in a sealed container, sealing the container, inletting high-temperature steam under pressure of 1-2.5 MPa and reacting for 1-5 minutes, opening the sealed container end cap by flashing after 87.5 milliseconds to release the pressure to atmospheric pressure and spraying the material with steam to a collection bin; and (iii) collecting the material, washing with deionized water to neutrality and drying to obtain powder. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide material. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes simple equipment, has convenient operation, is economical, environmentally friendly and suitable for industrial production, reduces energy consumption, and utilizes raw materials which are easy to obtain.
