▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery comprises: a cathode; and an electrolyte, where the cathode comprises a nanocomposite comprising graphene sheets (100) with particles comprising sulfur adsorbed to the graphene sheets and having an average diameter less than 50 nm. USE - Used as rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery. ADVANTAGE - The rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery: exhibits reversible capacity of greater than 950 m Ah g-1 after 100 cycles; exhibits discharge capacity of at least 74% of initial capacity after 50 cycles at 0.1 C; and exhibits improved mechanical strength, chemical and electrochemical stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing a graphene-sulfur nanocomposite for the cathode in the rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery, comprising thermally expanding graphite oxide to yield graphene sheets, mixing the graphene sheets with a first solution comprising sulfur and carbon disulfide, evaporating the carbon disulfide to yield a solid nanocomposite, and grinding the solid nanocomposite to yield the graphene sulfur nanocomposite having sulfur particles (101) with an average diameter less than 50 nm. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The figure illustrates a graphene-sulfur nanocomposite arranged in an ordered stack. Graphene sheets (100) Sulfur particles (101)
