NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene/attapulgite/titanium dioxide composite material involves adding attapulgite to 0.5-4.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, centrifuging, drying, grinding, adding graphite oxide to anhydrous ethanol, obtaining graphene oxide solution, adding pre-processed attapulgite and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as surfactant to graphene oxide solution, stirring, adding 0.5-4.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, dripping tetrabutyl titanate, providing resultant product in a hydro-thermal reactor, reacting, washing using anhydrous ethanol, and vacuum-drying at 50 degrees C. USE - Preparation of graphene/attapulgite/titanium dioxide composite material used in adsorption of dye in wastewater (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical, efficient and simple preparation of graphene/attapulgite/titanium dioxide composite material having excellent methylene blue dye adsorption and removal effects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene/attapulgite/titanium dioxide composite material involves adding attapulgite to 0.5-4.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, ultrasonically processing for 5-35 minutes, centrifuging, drying at 85-120 degrees C, grinding, adding graphite oxide to anhydrous ethanol, ultrasonically processing for 0.5-5 hours, obtaining graphene oxide solution, adding pre-processed attapulgite and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as surfactant to graphene oxide solution, stirring in water bath at 30-80 degrees C for 0.5-5 hours, adding 0.5-4.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, dripping tetrabutyl titanate, providing resultant product in a hydro-thermal reactor, reacting at 100-250 degrees C for 2-20 hours, washing using anhydrous ethanol, and vacuum-drying at 50 degrees C. The mass-volume ratio of attapulgite and hydrochloric acid is 10 g:10-300 mL. The usage amount of graphite oxide is 0.04-0.26 %mass based on total amount of graphite oxide and anhydrous ethanol. The amount of surfactant is 5-25 %mass based on amount of graphite oxide. The amount of pre-processed attapulgite is 5-50 %mass based on amount of graphite oxide. The amount of tetrabutyl titanate is 63.15-94.51 %mass. The volume ratio of hydrochloric acid and deionized water is 1:10-60.
