NOVELTY - Electrochemical biosensor comprises electrode, gold, sulfur-based DNA, 6-mercaptohexanol, biotinylated 5-hydroxymethylcytosine DNA strands, bovine hemoglobin, streptavidin-modified horseradish peroxidase, and nanomaterials. The electrode comprises at least one of glassy carbon electrode, gold electrode, silver electrode, platinum electrode, preferably, the nanomaterials include at least one of MXene, nano-calcium carbide, titanium dioxide nanomaterials, carbon nanotubes, and graphene. USE - Electrochemical biosensor for detecting 5-hydroxymethylcytosine in a mouse brain and embryonic stem cell DNA of mammal. ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical biological sensor has wide detection range, good sensitivity, and has excellent detection repeatability and detection stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: preparing the electrochemical biological sensor; and use of electrochemical biosensor for detecting 5-hydroxymethylcytosine.
