NOVELTY - Preparing graphene involves soaking graphite in a mixture of ethanol and water and mixture is ultrasonicated for 3-4 hours to obtain a suspension of graphene oxide. Hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution of concentration 50 g/L, pyridine or tetrahydrofuran is added to the suspension of graphene oxide and stirred to obtain a mixed solution of graphene oxide. The obtained mixed solution is filtered, and the filtrate is subjected to microwave heating followed by cooling, pickling, washing, filtration, centrifugation and drying in an inert gas atmosphere to give the final product. USE - Method for preparing graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare high purity graphene with high-efficiency and prepared graphene has good dispersion and good sheet integrity.
