NOVELTY - The graphene-sulfur composite comprises a precursor for forming atomic sulfur. The atomic sulfur or sulfide is surface-modified to show the surface charge of restored graphene oxide. The restored surface charge of the graphene or the graphene oxide is the positive charge. The positive charge is selected from a group consisting of ammonium nitrate and trimethylamino alane. USE - Graphene-sulfur composite for cathode active material of lithium-sulfur battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene-sulfur composite comprises a precursor for forming atomic sulfur, and thus enables improving the conductivity of the graphene-sulfur composite. The battery capacity is improved. The battery discharge is reduced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a lithium-sulfur battery comprises a cathode; and (2) a method for manufacturing graphene-sulfur composite.
