NOVELTY - High-insulation, low-temperature resistant, expansion and flame-retardant polyurethane material comprises 20-60 wt.% low molecular weight polyatomic alcohol, 0-30 wt.% chain extender, 0.1-4 wt.% catalyst, 0.1-2.5 wt.% antioxidant, 0.1-2.5 wt.% antifoaming agent, 0.1-2.5 wt.% wetting and dispersing agent, 5-70 wt.% flame retardant, 5-40 wt.% plasticizer, 0-30 wt.% filler and 1-30 wt.% curing agent. USE - The material is useful in building walls, cable channels, cables in traffic tracks and through-hole flame protection, electrical insulation packaging materials, electrical component pouring sealant,, waterproof coatings, anticorrosive coatings, cold-resistant coatings, flame-resistant coatings and fireproof expansion sealing element and adhesives (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple; and has convenient operation control, controllable curing time, and pollution-free production process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the material, comprising (1) taking each raw material component, (2) drying the flame retardant, filler and antioxidant at 100-120 degrees C for 12-48 hours, (3) adding low molecular weight polyols, plasticizers, antifoaming agent, catalysts, wetting and dispersing agents, and chain extenders into the reactor, and uniformly stirring, (4) adding the dried flame retardant, filler, and antioxidant to the reactor, starting the vacuum and stirring, (5) raising the temperature, controlling the temperature in the reactor to be 90-110 degrees C, and stirring for 0.5-10 hours under vacuum, (6) stopping vacuuming after the stirring is completed, cooling the temperature to below 40-70 degrees C, discharging the material, and obtaining the polyurethane resin mixture, and (7) uniformly mixing the polyurethane resin mixture and curing agent according to the mass ratio of polyurethane resin mixture and curing agent of 100:1-100:30, and discharging the material.
