NOVELTY - Preparation of catalyst involves preparing graphene oxide, adding graphene oxide to solvent for ultrasonic dispersion, obtaining uniform graphene oxide dispersion, adding precursor and structure inducer to solvent, stirring, reacting, adding sodium hydroxide solution under the protection of nitrogen, leaving still, aging for 1-2 hours, obtaining precursor solution, mixing the precursor solution with the graphene oxide dispersion, reacting at 150-250 degrees C for 1-12 hours, centrifuging, washing, drying, and calcining in air at 300-450 degrees C and heating rate of 1-5 degrees C/minute for 3-9 hours to obtain tricobalt tetroxide-graphene oxide catalyst. The graphene oxide dispersion includes 1-5 %mass graphene oxide. The precursor solution includes 1-10 %mass precursor and 1-10 %mass structure inducer. The mass ratio of sodium hydroxide and precursor is 1:2-3. USE - Preparation of catalyst used for removing mercury from coal-fired flue gas. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of catalyst having improved dispersion degree and excellent mercury oxide removal efficiency with low amount of active components. The active components of the catalyst does not agglomerate easily.
