NOVELTY - Preparation of metal-porphyrin-modified sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide electrocatalyst involves adding graphene oxide to an organic solvent (S1), ultrasonically processing, adding an inorganic base, stirring, adding sulfonyl chloride, heating, stirring, cooling the reaction mixture to room temperature, removing the solvent, washing, centrifuging, drying, calcining dried product at elevated temperature, cooling to room temperature, obtaining sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide, adding porphine and metal salt to an organic solvent (S2), heating to reflux, obtaining a metal porphyrin solution, adding sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide to the metal porphyrin solution, ultrasonically processing, transferring obtained mixture to a reactor, reacting, centrifuging the reaction mixture, washing, and drying. USE - Preparation of metal-porphyrin-modified sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide electrocatalyst used for cathode oxygen reduction reaction in metal-air battery and fuel cell (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical preparation of metal-porphyrin-modified sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide electrocatalyst with excellent catalytic performance, by simple process.
