NOVELTY - Preparing nitrogen-doped three-dimensional graphene involves utilizing fruit pericarp/peel as carbon source and nitrogen source. The fruit pericarp/peel is hydrothermally carbonized, activated by an activating agent, pickled and dried. The peel is subjected to washing and dicing. The water is added and mixture is heated to 180-200 degrees C for 12-24 hours to obtain a black gel-like carbide. The black gel-like carbide is dried and milled in ball milling. The ethanol is completely volatilized and then the activated carbon is added under argon atmosphere to obtain first carbonized product. USE - Method for preparing nitrogen-doped three-dimensional graphene for energy storage field such as fuel cell and lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare nitrogen-doped three-dimensional graphene in simple, eco-friendly and cost-effective manner under mild reaction conditions that has high conductivity and high activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing nitrogen-doped three-dimensional graphene involves utilizing fruit pericarp/peel as carbon source and nitrogen source. The obtained product is dried for 12-48 hours. The obtained product is washed to remove acid. The unreacted activator and other impurities are washed with water until product is neutral. The product is dried under vacuum then heated to 600-1000 degrees C for 1-5 hours to obtain final product.
