NOVELTY - Preparation of γ-alumina nanosheet involves hydrolyzing aluminum source using graphene oxide as a template to generate graphene oxide/aluminum hydroxide precursor, and calcining the precursor at high temperature to remove the template. USE - Preparation of γ-alumina nanosheet used for producing polydopamine/γ-alumina nanosheet by modifying γ-alumina nanosheet (claimed). The γ-alumina nanosheet is used as catalyst carrier, adsorption material of heavy metal ion, and reinforced phase of ceramic material. ADVANTAGE - The nanosheet has super-large specific surface area, and can fully exert the adsorption and catalytic performance of γ-alumina material. It uses polydopamine to modify and improve the dispersibility in water by using PDA, which effectively changes the dispersion stability in water. Because the nanosheet is larger than surface and lack surface hydrophilic group, causing it to be easily agglomerated in water so as to settle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for modification of γ-alumina nanosheet, which involves mixing 5-10 mg γ-alumina nanosheet with 50 ml of tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane hydrochloride buffer, ultrasonically processing, adding dopamine hydrochloride to the obtained mixed solution, stirring, suction-filtering, and freeze-drying to obtain polydopamine (PDA)/γ-alumina nanosheet.
