DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Catalyst comprises graphene and iron-doped strontium titanate of formula SrTi(0.95)Fe(0.05)O3-( delta ). The catalyst can be used for mineralization of rhodamine B into carbon dioxide and water under simulated sunlight where carbon dioxide is reduced into useful hydrocarbons. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of catalyst comprising dissolving 2-3 g strontium nitrate and 0.2-0.3 g iron nitrate nonahydrate in 60 ml water, adding 8-9 g citric acid while stirring, adding 3-5 ml tetrabutyl titanate and 3-10 ml ethylene glycol mixture, stirring at 50-60 degrees C to form uniform and colorless solution, heating at 80-100 degrees C to obtain yellow viscous sol, transferring into oven, drying at 110 degrees C for 24 hours to obtain yellow porous dry gel, evenly placing in muffle furnace, pre-calcining at 300-400 degrees C for 3-10 hours, calcining at 850-950 degrees C for 8-14 hours to obtain iron-doped strontium titanate, taking 1-20 ml of 3-4 mg/ml graphite oxide by improved Hummers oxidation process, ultrasonically dispersing in 20-100 deionized water to obtain solution A, taking 0.3-1 g iron-doped strontium titanate, dispersing in 10-100 ml deionized water to obtain solution B, slowly adding solution A, uniformly stirring into hot water tank, heating in muffle furnace at 120-250 degrees C for 10-24 hours, filtering, washing and drying in vacuum oven.
