NOVELTY - 1 g/L Aqueous solution of graphene oxide is ultrasonically processed for 13 hours. A trivalent iron salt is added to mixture and magnetically stirred for 2.5 hours. Excess ammonia is added to mixture, and pH is adjusted to 10.5-11 and maintained for 90 minutes. The mixture is heated, concentrated at 60-70 degrees C to form viscous state, and temperature is controlled to -80 degrees C to -70 degrees C and freeze dried. The dried solids are placed in tube furnace and calcined at 450 degrees C for 2 hours under nitrogen protection, to obtain magnetically oxidized graphene adsorbent. USE - Preparation of magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent (claimed) for degradation of arsenic. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent having excellent physical and chemical properties, arsenic adsorption characteristics and rapid magnetic separation characteristics by economical method.
