NOVELTY - Graphene modified aluminum alloy wire comprises 0.05-0.12 wt.% iron, 0.03-0.08 wt.% silicon, 0.12-0.35 wt.% erbium, 0.10-1 wt.% carbon, and aluminum (remaining amount). USE - The graphene modified aluminum alloy wire is used in overhead power transmission and distribution lines, overhead transmission lines in high-altitude areas with large distances and large drops. ADVANTAGE - The graphene modified aluminum alloy wire: has electrical conductivity of 61-63%, tensile strength of 245-256 MPa, and average diameter of 2-4.5 mm; greatly reduces loss of overhead transmission and distribution lines, helps to achieve the ''double carbon'' goal, and improves safety and reliability of line operation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing the graphene modified aluminum alloy wire comprising (1) mixing aluminum ingot and aluminum-erbium alloy ingot under an inert gas atmosphere, smelting and stirring to obtain molten aluminum; (2) mixing refining agent and molten aluminum for refining and impurity removal, allowing to stand, mixing graphene aluminum block, and stirring to obtain aluminum-graphene mixed molten liquid; (3) continuous casting aluminum graphene mixed melt, obtaining graphene modified aluminum alloy ingot blank; and (4) successively subjecting graphene modified aluminum alloy ingot blank to continuous rolling, quenching, take-up and wire drawing.
