NOVELTY - A polyester resin comprises 8-40 wt.% polyol, 40-65 wt.% aromatic polybasic acid, 0.0-2 wt.% branching agent, 1-40 wt.% graphene dispersion, 0-12 wt.% acidolysis agent, 0.03-0.15 wt.% esterification catalyst, 0.01-2 wt.% antioxidant, and 0-1 wt.% curing accelerator. USE - The polyester resin is useful for outdoor highly anticorrosive powder coating. ADVANTAGE - The polyester resin provides powder coating, which has high glossiness, and excellent mechanical property, weather resistance and corrosion resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the polyester resin, which involves adding polyol, branching agent, graphene dispersion, aromatic polybasic acid and catalyst to a reactor, slowly increasing the temperature to 235-255 degrees C in a nitrogen atmosphere, after the system is clear, sampling the acid value, when the acid value reaches 5-20 mg potassium hydroxide (KOH)/g, adding acidolysis agent, maintaining the temperature at 235-250 degrees C for acid decapsulation, when the acid value of the polyester is 35-70, cooling to 230-240 degrees C, vacuumizing at 0-0.1 MPa for polycondensation, so that the acid value of the polyester reaches 25-55, cooling to 180-230 degrees C, adding antioxidant and curing accelerator, maintaining the temperature for 5-30 minutes, and then discharging the material to obtain carboxy-terminated polyester resin with an acid value of 25-55 mg KOH/g.
